The Peterborough Poverty Reduction Network, Community Employment Resource Partnership and the City of Peterborough Social Services Division is hosting a free employment forum called Working. Together. This event is open to City and County residents. The focus of the event is to bring awareness, access and opportunities for job seekers and business owners.
Date: September 20th, 2017
Location: Market Hall, 140 Charlotte Street
Time: 1:30 PM to 7:00 PM.
The first half of the event from 1:30 PM to 4:00 PM will provide information for people who are seeking jobs or in career transition. Speakers from local employment service agencies will provide updates on area programs and discuss the changing face of employment in the City and County of Peterborough.
The second half of the event from 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM is geared towards new and established business owners. The guest speaker is Josie Rudderham; Josie is a successful business owner who speaks passionately about creating a successful work culture and gives some tips on becoming an entrepreneur. Josie’s presentation begins at 5:00 PM. Following the guest speaker is a panel discussion featuring local employers.
