The buzz of conversation was just as vital as the compost going into the newest pollinator garden on Saturday.
Volunteers Rob Tonus and Drew Monkman stopped their garden-building tasks often as cyclists and pedestrians asked about the 10-foot-square raised bed going in near Nicholls Oval. This is just one of five gardens to create future homes for bees, wasps and other pollen-spreading flyers, to ensure their livelihood and ours.
