Peterborough`s swinginest, rockinest rhythm and blues band, The Rocket Revue, will be performing at The Market Hall.
This show will feature the large scale version of `The Rocket,` with special guest, JEROME GODBOO. Toronto singer and harmonica player, Jerome Godboo, is an accomplished and exceptional bluesman whose harp skills have been sought out by everyone from Ronnie Hawkins to the late Jeff Healey. Jerome took home the Lee Oscar Best Harmonica Player Award at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis in 2014 and has released 14 albums in his 25 year career.
The Rocket Revue is made up of 9 players, featuring the dynamic Rocket rhythm section: Brent Bailey on keys and vocals, Al Black on drums and vocals, Andy Pryde on bass, Gary Peeples on guitar and vocals and Shea Bailey on congas and percussion. The horn section, made up of Jim Usher on tenor sax, Steve McCracken on baritone and alto sax, Rob Roy on trombone and band leader Greg Weichel on trumpet defines and drives the unique sound of the Rocket Revue. With 4 different lead singers, the band’s musical repertoire is extensive, covering over 88 years of rock, soul, R&B, blues and jazz. There will always be music to please all tastes and, of course, lots of dancing!
